At Driftwood Church, our calling is simple but profound: to help each other see life from God's perspective. In our mission work in the central plateau of Haiti, near the city of St. Michel, we don't just talk about this calling—we live it out.
Since 2009, we've committed to a presence built on trust, humility, and perseverance. This year, your partnership has led to beautiful, life-changing progress. As we recap 2025, we invite you to celebrate the powerful ways God is moving!
This year's highlights show impact in five key areas, all focused on long-term impact, not quick fixes:
Discipleship is intensely relational. We don't just teach—we listen, walk beside, and encourage young hearts to grow in character, faith, and purpose. We celebrate that several youth we have been walking alongside in life have made the beautiful, life-altering decision to follow Jesus this year! This is the core of our "why we go."
Education is more than subjects and exams. It’s about dignity, hope, and opportunity. This year, we were honored to help over 25 children go to school. Due to the gang violence in Haiti, school started later in October 2025, but your support ensured these children were ready to learn when classes began.
One story of success is Ocelene DeHaiti and her sister, Seisenie, who lost their parents a few years ago. Report card updates are given monthly, and your support is helping this young lady chase her dreams. Through this support, we remind each child that they are seen and valued by God.
We are called to encourage and build one another up, and sometimes that means providing life-saving care. Your financial giving for healthcare and medical support has literally helped to save lives.
A young man named Tybee, who has been a part of the Driftwood mission for many years, has been receiving medical care made possible entirely through your support. Tybee’s gratitude speaks for all those whose lives have been touched: “Thank you Driftwood and Thank You Jesus!”
Community development is part of our calling. In places often overlooked, we help families build sustainable practices and restore dignity in daily life. This year, your support helped 12 churches plant seed and teach Syntropic Agroforestry practices—an incredible way to fight against food insecurity in Haiti.
The community planted over 10 hectares (about 25 acres) this year. We pray that this food will feed many in the community and provide a foundation for future stability and growth.
This work isn't a distant charity; it's a partnership. We show up, we commit, and we share life. By helping families build sustainable practices, we are working to restore dignity in daily life, demonstrating God's love with humility and perseverance.
This year’s recap is a powerful reminder of why we go. Our mission is to partner with local Haitian leaders to steward long-term impact by:
Discipling youth.
Supporting education.
Fostering community development.
Every dollar, every prayer, and every trip helps share Christ’s love in ways that bring dignity, hope, and lasting change.
